NFL Betting: Bengals vs. Steelers on Sunday night

Winners of three straight games, Andy Dalton and the Cincinnati Bengals will be looking to add to Ben Roethlisberger and the Pittsburgh Steelers' misery and help their own division-title cause in Sunday Night Football betting action this week as the rivals meet in the primetime matchup at Heinz Field.

Coming off an impressive 42-28 home win over the Indianapolis Colts as 7.5-point home favorites over the weekend the Bengals are now 9-4 SU and 8-4-1 ATS on the NFL betting lines on the season, and two games ahead of the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC North division standings.

Dalton turned in a big performance against the Colts, completing 24 of his 35 pass attempts for 275 yards with three touchdowns (plus one rushing TD) and no interceptions on the day. A.J. Green, Marvin Jones, and Jermaine Gresham each had TD receptions, while BenJarvus Green-Ellis ran for two scores in the contest.

That makes three straight wins for the Bengals, who also topped the Browns in Week 11 and the Chargers after their bye in Week 13. The Steelers, on the other hand, have lost two games in a row to sit at 5-8 SU and 6-7 ATS on the season; they're now all but eliminated from the AFC playoff race.

Pittsburgh fell 34-28 at home to the Miami Dolphins as 3-point favorites over the weekend despite Roethlisberger throwing for 349 yards and three touchdowns in the contest. Antonio Brown had five catches for 137 yards and one TD.

The Steelers fell 20-10 on the road against the Bengals in their first meeting of the season back in Week 2, with Cincinnati covering the 6.5-point spread in the contest on the NFL betting lines at the sportsbooks. Dalton and Roethlisberger each had one touchdown pass in that contest.

Overall the Bengals are just 4-6 both SU and ATS in their last 10 games against the Steelers dating back to 2008, although they're 2-0 both SU and ATS in their last two matchups. The UNDER has paid off for totals bettors on the NFL odds in each of the last four games between the teams.

Cincinnati opened as a 1.5-point road favorite against Pittsburgh for the Sunday Night Football matchup, with the opening OVER/UNDER for the contest listed at 40 points.

Another AFC North team is in the Monday Night Football game this week as the Ravens take on the Lions (-6) in Detroit, while Thursday Night Football has Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos (-10.5) playing host to the San Diego Chargers.

On the Week 15 NFL betting slate early on Sunday afternoon are then Buffalo (-4.5) at Jacksonville, Washington at Atlanta (-3), Houston at Indianapolis (-6), Chicago at Cleveland (-2.5), Seattle (-4.5) at the Giants, Philadelphia (-2.5) at Minnesota, San Francisco (-3.5) at Tampa Bay, and New England (-3.5) at Miami.

The late-afternoon games on Sunday are the Jets at Carolina (-10), Kansas City (-3) at Oakland, Arizona (-1) at Tennessee, Green Bay at Dallas (no early line), and New Orleans (-4.5) at St. Louis.
