NBA Betting: Heat carry win streak into busy week

Riding a seven-game winning streak and looking to catch the Indiana Pacers for first place in the Eastern Conference, LeBron James and the Miami Heat will hit the hardwood four times in the week ahead in NBA betting action at the sportsbooks.

The Heat will tip off their slate for the week on Monday night at home against the Charlotte Bobcats, but their first real test should come on Tuesday night when they play on the road against the Houston Rockets. Miami has only managed to cover the spread in four of their last 10 games against the Rockets.

James and company will then stay in Texas for a Thursday night road game against the San Antonio Spurs, with the Heat topping the Spurs 113-101 while covering a 3.5-point spread at home back on January 26. Totals bettors have seen the OVER pay out six times in the last 10 games between the Heat and the Spurs.

Miami will then head up to Chicago to face the Bulls on Sunday, with the Heat going 6-1 SU and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games against the Bulls dating back to last year's playoffs. When those teams last met on February 23 the Heat won 93-79 at home while covering a spread of 7.5 points.

The Bulls will begin their week on Monday night with a road game against the Brooklyn Nets on the NBA betting lines at the sportsbooks. The Nets are 0-3 both SU and ATS in their last three games against the Bulls, with the UNDER paying out in each of the last two games between the Eastern Conference teams.

On Tuesday night notable matchups include San Antonio at Cleveland, Golden State at Indiana, and the Clippers at Phoenix, with Los Angeles falling 107-88 at home to Phoenix as a 7.5-point home favorite on the NBA odds when those teams last met on December 30. The OVER has paid out just twice in the last 10 games between those two teams.

The Pacers are back on the floor again on Wednesday night as they take on the Bobcats in Charlotte, with Golden State at Boston, Memphis at Brooklyn, and Dallas looking to pick up a win in Denver. The Mavericks already lost twice to the Nuggets so far this season back in November, splitting those two contests 1-1 ATS.

An all-Los Angeles battle on Thursday night has the Clippers taking on the Lakers at the Staples Center, while the Oklahoma City Thunder play on the road against the Suns. Oklahoma City topped Phoenix 103-96 but didn't cover the 12.5-point spread on the NBA betting lines at the sportsbooks back on November 3.

Friday's most notable matchups are Brooklyn at Boston, Memphis at Chicago, Portland at Dallas, and Indiana at Houston, with the Clippers getting a visit from the Hawks on Saturday while the Spurs host the Magic.

To close out the week ahead on Sunday the Lakers will play host to Kevin Durant and the Thunder, with Portland at Houston, Indiana at Dallas, and Phoenix at Golden State. The Suns are 3-7 SU and 4-6 ATS in their last 10 games against the Warriors, winning 122-109 as a 4.5-point home favorite when they met on February 8.
