Analysis: My Jopia gets the call here as the first seven finishers of the New York Stallion Series Cupecoy's Joy return here but we will look in a different direction. Our top pick is returning off a three month break here, her last start a smart looking win versus state bred Alw-1 foes. The runner up in the race was Nice Stuff, who returned to beat state bred Alw-1 foes in her next start on May 19. Our top pick has enough pedigree to handle the stretch out to a mile and Ramon takes the call.
Why Take a Chance was fifth in the Cupecoy's Joy as the beaten favorite, and then came back to finish a game second last out going a mile on the main track. She set all the fractions and could not hold off the winner late. She ran well in a runner up finish versus starter optional claimers in her first start on turf, and despite the light turf pedigree we will give her another look here.
I Bet Toni Knows beat six of these in the Cupecoy's Joy, which was at seven furlongs and she looks more than capable of handling the extra furlong. She has won 3 of 6 in her career but she may end up getting a bit too much attention on the tote.
WIN: #4 to win at 4-1 or better.
EX: 1,4 / 1,4,6,10
TRI: 1,4 / 1,4,6,10 / 1,4,6,8,10
