Giants host Patriots to highlight final NFL preseason tuneups
The final week of NFL preseason action kicks off Wednesday night with a rematch of last February's Super Bowl XLVI title tilt, as the defending champion New York Giants play host to the New England Patriots at MetLife Stadium.
The Giants, who knocked off the Patriots 21-17 seven months ago at Lucas Oil Stadium to win their fourth Super Bowl, are listed as 1.5-point underdogs with the total sitting at 41. Both teams are 1-2 in the preseason so far, although the Giants are 2-1 against the spread while the Pats are 0-3 ATS.
Also Wednesday night, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are 3.5-point road dogs in Washington against the Redskins, and the winless Miami Dolphins are getting 2.5 points for their matchup in Dallas with the Cowboys.
The preseason schedule wraps up with a final flurry of 13 games on Thursday night, including Atlanta (+2.5) at Jacksonville, the Jets (+4.5) at Philadelphia, Buffalo (+4) at Detroit, Kansas City (even) at Green Bay, New Orleans (+3.5) at Tennesee, Cincinnati (+2.5) at Indianapolis, Baltimore (+5) at St. Louis, Carolina (+3.5) at Pittsburgh, Minnesota (+3.5) at Houston, and Chicago at Cleveland (+3.5).
