Giants Favored Big Over Mets
They may have been swept by the Dodgers over the weekend, but oddsmakers still have faith in the San Francisco Giants, installing them as Monday's biggest baseball favorites.
Madison Bumgarner goes for the San Fran, whose lead atop the NL West evaporated in three days. Jeremy Hefner goes for the Mets, who were sitting as +187 underdogs at press time.
Of note, the Giants are under .500 against right-handed starters (34-36 according to OddsShark.com). The Mets are 1-3 in Hefner's starts in 2012.
The Mets are 3-14 SU in their last 17 games, but are the league's highest-scoring road team. That stat makes the opening total of 6.5 very tempting to OVER bettors. [ Matchup Report ]
