Colts to try their Luck in Pittsburgh
Rookie pivot Andrew Luck will get another taste of NFL preseason action on Sunday night as the Colts visit Pittsburgh to battle the Steelers in what promises to be a stern test for the No. 1 overall draft pick out of Stanford.
Luck and the Colts are currently listed as 3.5-point underdogs for their matchup against the favored Steelers at Heinz Field, with the total sitting at 37.5 points.
Indy buried the Rams 38-3 in their first preseason game last week, as Luck completed ten of 16 passing attempts for 188 yards and two touchdowns in his first appearance with the Colts. Pittsburgh, meanwhile, blew a 13-0 halftime lead and ultimately dropped a 24-23 decision to the Eagles last week in Philadelphia.
Before Luck takes center stage in the lone NFL preseason contest on Sunday night, there are six solid matchups on the Saturday night schedule including the Giants (+1) at the Jets, Washington (+1) at Chicago, Kansas City (-1) at St. Louis, San Francisco (+3) at Houston, Seattle (+1) at Denver, and Dallas (+3) at San Diego.
In the Major Leagues, this week's Sunday Night Baseball matchup will feature the Boston Red Sox wrapping up a three-game weekend series in New York against the Yankees with Josh Beckett (5-10, 5.19 ERA) scheduled to start against Hiroki Kuroda (11-8, 3.06 ERA).
The Yankees are currently rated as the championship chalk at 5/1 odds to win the World Series, just ahead of the two-time defending American League champion Texas Rangers who are listed at 11/2 odds.
Also Sunday, veteran Jimmie Johnson is back on top of the Sprint Cup driver standings and he's also the betting favorite at +600 odds to win NASCAR's Pure Michigan 400 at Michigan International Speedway.
